The Project:

The property was built on a large plot around extensive Essex farmland. The clients large family required a large property and John Ford Group were instructed to refurbish and adapt the main property to enable the severely disabled daughter to live comfortably with her family and also 24 hour care.

A converted garage away from the property was also refurbished to enable general and wake-in care to be on call to the client 24 hours a day. Both refurbishments (main house including hard landscaping and carers quarters) were carried out concurrently. Half way through the 26 week programme – the CoP approved a hydrotherapy facility to be built and John Ford Group worked with the design and engineering team to incorporate the facility into the project.

Initial works were completed on time with the hydrotherapy facility being handed over 10 weeks after the client took possession of the main house.
